PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Shannon M. Sherrell is a director and co-founder of Saiz Chanez Sherrell + Kaemper. Her practice is focused on medical malpractice, products and general liability litigation, and trucking defense.

 

Shannon is a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico.  She attended California Lutheran University and graduated summa cum laude in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, with an emphasis on International Studies. Shannon attended UNM School of Law, graduating summa cum laude in 2010. 

 

Shannon served as co-Managing Editor for the New Mexico Law Review during law school. Upon her graduation from law school, Shannon received a LexisNexis Award for Highest Academic Achievement, a Tort Scholar Award, and a Clinical Honors Award for her outstanding representation of clients in the Law Clinic.

 

After she graduated from law school, Shannon served as a law clerk for the Honorable James O. Browning, United States District Court Judge for the District of New Mexico.

From 2016-2019, Shannon was named a Rising Star by Southwest Super Lawyers for her experience and expertise in civil defense litigation. This designation is bestowed upon less than 3% of attorneys in New Mexico for excellence in practice. 

Before joining SC Law, Ms. Sherrell was a director at a large law firm in Albuquerque, NM.
