PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Although Christine Christy had been in the legal field as both a legal assistant and paralegal for 10 years prior, Ms. Christy earned a Certificate in Paralegal Studies through the Santa Fe Community College in 1991. She worked for a variety of law firms in Santa Fe, New Mexico until 2000.

Ms. Christy’s career took her to Washington, DC where she was employed as the Paralegal Coordinator at former Ross, Dixon & Bell until mid-2003. After a year at a law firm in New Jersey to create their paralegal program, she returned to New Mexico. Christine worked for the PNM Legal Department in 2005-2007 with a focus on rate case litigation. In 2008, Christine joined a large law firm in Albuquerque, New Mexico, primarily focusing on defense litigation, with an emphasis on medical malpractice and nursing home litigation.

Ms. Christy retired in March 2022; however, it was a short-lived retirement. She began work at a small appeals law firm in August 2022, and joined Saiz, Chanez, Sherrell + Kaemper in August 2023, where she supports both firms as a paralegal. At Saiz, Chanez, Sherrell + Kaemper, she currently provides support by reviewing medical records and business documents, including drafting discovery responses.
